"In The Beginning..." I was
fortunate to have the opportunity to learn how to fix machines as a kid growing up in New York during the late 1960's.
My father Leonard (he was known as Lenny) was truly a "crackerjack mechanic." At the start, my dad's business of mechanical
repair was not the greatest thing for me because he worked all hours of the day and often at night as well--so I didn't get
to see him as often as I would have liked. We both loved to fish and when my dad saw I that I could actually help out
and I had a definite talent for the "art of repair", he began teaching me, sort of like an apprentice. At the time,
I didn't even realize that I was learning a trade. I worked with him whenever I could, often, our fishing poles along
"for the ride" and somehow by the end of the day, we ended up by the water. I never expected going into this line of
work and dad was "dead-set" against this as my career choice. It wasn't until many years later when I was employed as
an engineer in California, that he actually accepted my decision to follow in his footsteps. Unfortunately, like so
many of my other mentors, he has passed on now leaving a void in the (antique) repair industry. So, now my life's work
is to keep those old machines "alive and running", to charge a fair price for doing it, and to satisfy my customers.
It has always been my policy to give good value and service on all of my projects. I enjoy working on jukeboxes as they
often are a direct reflection of their owners. I work on "super-rare" and "expensive" machines with the same love, respect,
and care as the brand new jukeboxes. Even older "clunkers" get decent treatment at reasonable prices. Try me and
decide. I have many many satisfied customers who welcome me as a friend into their homes and business establishments.
I would love to add your name to my list of satisfied clients!
